Description: The orange tree is the most cultivated fruit tree in the world, and are typically grown in tropical and subtropical climates. The orange tree is actually a hybrid, and is thought to be a cross between the pomelo and the mandarin trees.

History: The fruit of the orange tree has been consumed and utilized since ancient times. It is thought to have originated in Southeast Asia, where oranges were being grown and cultivated since 2500 B.C. It is believed to have been introduced to Europe by Arabs and then brought into America by Spaniards in the mid 1500s.
