Aromatic Scent: Cassia essential oil is sweet, spicy, warm, and earthy.
Description: Cassia is made from the bark of trees in eastern Asia, related to the cinnamon tree.
History: As early as 2,000 BC, cinnamon (cassia) has been used for many different things.
Egyptians used it as a perfuming agent during the embalming process, and was even cited in
the Old Testament as an ingredient in anointing oil. It is thought to have been introduced to
Europe by Arab traders, where it proved to be equally popular.
Blends Well With: Black Pepper, Coriander, Frankincense, Ginger, Geranium, Rosemary, Orange
Safety Information: May be a dermal and mucous membrane irritant. Do not take any essential oils internally without consultation from a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using. Do not apply undiluted essential oils, absolutes, CO2s or other concentrated essences onto the skin. If you are pregnant, epileptic, have liver damage, have cancer, or have any other medical problem, use essential oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner.
